A licensed notary, David Allen Berman, age 57 of Acworth – was recently jailed in Rome after he reportedly, illegally notarized a document giving another man Power of Attorney, over another person’s bank account – at the Etowah Landing Nursing Home.
Reports show that Berman admitted to not being present at the time that document was signed – NOR did he witness the signature that resulted in Russell Eugene Smith stealing over ,000 from a patient suffering with dementia, at the nursing home.

Berman was charged with: Felony Theft by Deception, Exploitation of the Elderly and a Violation of Performing Notarial Services.
