One Hurt in Two-Vehicle Cherokee County Wreck

One person was hurt in a two-vehicle wreck that took place in Cherokee County on Saturday.

According to a report by the Alabama State Troopers Post in Jacksonville the accident occurred at 11:10am on U.S. Highway 411, and involved two vehicles, each being driven by a Rome, Georgia resident – and those were listed as a 2002 GMC Yukon being driven by a male subject from Calhoun and a 2001 Jeep Wrangler being driven by a male subject from Rome.

According to reports, the driver of the Yukon was unhurt, BUT the driver of the Wrangler was transported by ambulance to the Redmond Regional Hospital in Rome for treatment of unspecified injuries.

That wreck remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
