Leesburg Man Lands $1,000 Tagged Fish

MANY of the absolute Finest Angler’s from all around the world are HERE in Cherokee County to take part in the Weiss Lake Crappie Rodeo – going on now!

1,001 tagged fish were released into Weiss Lake for this BIG, outstanding special event, and fishermen from far and wide are here to show off their skills in the Crappie Rodeo – which runs through April 30th. 

Over $130,000 in cash and prizes is up for grabs – simply visit the County Chamber of Commerce, OR the Weiss Lake Improvement Association, for additional information, including the many locations where you can buy your “Fishing Badge” (which is required), a long list of weigh-in locations and much more.
