The Cherokee Softball Invitational schedule has been updated once again. Pool play will begin this evening at Cherokee County High School in Centre and at Gaylesville. Games at Cherokee County High School include Cedar Bluff vs. Etowah at 4 p.m. and Cherokee County vs. Glencoe at 5:30 p.m.

At Gaylesville this evening is the tournament host Lady Trojans against Spring Garden at 4 p.m., followed by Sand Rock and Valley Head at 5:30 p.m.

After pool play, the single elimination tournament will begin on Saturday morning. Fyffe will be the tournament’s No. 9 seed. All other teams will be seeded from pool play by wins, runs scored, and runs allowed.

All tournament games will be played Saturday at Gaylesville beginning at 8 a.m. Play continues throughout the day, with the championship game scheduled for approximately 6:30 p.m.
