The Monday meeting of the Cherokee County Commission was extremely brief, with Commissioners hearing only two items – one in the Planning Session and one during the official Meeting.
During the Planning Session Sylvia Briecic spoke about her experience in the County regarding Animal Control – she covered the issue of “animals running at large” – and what she said was a “bite” from an area dog – that was followed by a long-list of what she was unsatisfied with and that was also in regard to dealing with county employees about the situation. She was allowed to address the Commission with a list of concerns – and complaints – regarding her situation.
Commissioners have taken the matters under advisement.
And in the regular meeting Dolly McElroy was appointed to the Cherokee County Healthcare Authority, to fill a six-year unexpired term – ending in December of 2026.
The next Cherokee County Commission meeting is set for Monday, March 25th, at 5:00pm in the County Administration Building, in Centre.
