In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

JOHNNY WASHINGTON, age 68 of Centre – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with Failure to Appear on a previous charge of Driving while Revoked;

BROOKS SHIREY, age 47 of Cedar Bluff, arrested by Cedar Bluff Police for Domestic Violence 3rd Degree;

CHRISTOPHER MOSES, age 47, with no address listed – was placed under arrest by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and he was charged with Domestic Violence 1st Degree;

And

LAURISSA ABERNATHY, age 44 from Albertville – was arrested by Centre Police on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – and with Theft of Property 3rd Degree.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Currently – there are 96 inmates that are housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
