In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

RALPH SWAFFORD, 53 from Centre was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear on previous charges of: Expired Tag, Driving while Suspended and Criminal Trespass 3rd;

MATTHEW LE, 40 from Centre, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on Obstructing Justice/False ID;

JERRY STEELE, age 56 of Cedar Bluff – was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police on charges of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

DAN WACASTER – age 48 of Cedar Bluff – was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

ANGELA ROCHESTER – age 52 of Cedar Bluff – arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of:  Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

TONY PIERCE, age 57 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Certain Persons Forbidden to Carry a Pistol, Burglary 3rd Degree and Theft of Property 4th Degree;

ERIC BRAY, age 49 from Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on the charges of a Probation Revocation and with Failure to Appear on previous charges of an Expired Tag – the Failure to Display Insurance – Switched Tag – and a Probation Revocation;

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Currently – there are 95 inmates that are housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
