A storm system will be bringing widespread rainfall to the area – Friday through Saturday afternoon.  While heavy rainfall, and localized flooding will be the main concern – strong to severe storms may affect portions of our south-central counties.

Minor adjustments to forecast rainfall amounts and introduced marginal severe weather risk Friday night into Saturday morning.

* Generally, 2″ to 4″ of rainfall possible, with isolated amounts of up to 5″

Where: – * The southern portion of Central Alabama

Threats: – * Damaging winds up to 60 mph/* A brief tornado will be possible
