Mr. Wilburn Ferguson, age 89 of Centre, AL passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Ferguson was born in Centre, AL on February 14, 1935, son of the late Clarence Ferguson and the late Willie Bell Ferguson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Estelle Twilley, Faye Hudgins, Harbert Ferguson, Kenneth Ferguson, Odell Ferguson and daughter, Debra Jolly.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Wheeler Ferguson; 3 children, Steve (Denise) Ferguson, Jerry (Debbie) Ferguson, Vance (Dawnn) Ferguson; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Wilburn loved working and finally retired at the age of 80 as an over the road truck driver. His previous employers were Trend Mills, Coosa Baking Company and lastly Shaw Industries.

In retirement he spent time with his family and friends. Over the past few years  he had acquired a colony of rabbits, of all shapes and sizes, that he enjoyed watching as they played in his yard.

He was a generous man who was always there for his family and would help anyone in need. He loved God and Jesus Christ our Lord, and knew Christ as his Savior. He was currently attending Rehoboth Baptist Church in Cave Springs, GA.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Ferguson will be cremated. A Memorial service will be held Friday March 15, 2024 at 2:00 Pm in the Chapel of Perry Funeral Home, the family will receive friends from 1:00Pm till the time of service.
