A 26-year-old Chattooga County, Georgia man was recently arrested, just after a theft investigation by the Summerville Police Department.
According to reports from the police department, Joseph Walton Parker of a Back Penn Road address stands accused of going into Marvin’s home improvement store – and purchasing more than $7,000 worth of tools on the account of his former employer. Those purchases took place over a period of several months – all the way back to August last year – when Parker was terminated.
Parker was apparently pawning the tools at a local pawn shop, according to police.
Parker was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on Friday of last week, on charges of theft by deception and forgery.
