One Injured in Motorcycle Wreck in Rome, Georgia

A motorcyclist was transported to Atrium Health Floyd – following a two vehicle wreck in Rome, Georgia – at the intersection of Williamson Street and Shorter Avenue late, last week.  According to Rome Police Department reports – the 2006 Toyota Sienna, driven by 41-year-old Daysy Morales of Rome was turning left to Shorter Avenue and hit a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle that was traveling eastbound.

The motorcyclist identified as 20-year-old Nathan Caliguire of Rome was thrown about 100 feet by the impact and sustained serious injuries.

Morales was cited for the failure to yield while turning left.
