A single-vehicle accident in Cherokee County sent one to the hospital for treatment on Sunday.
According to Alabama State Trooper reports, the vehicle – a 2005 Dodge 2500 – left the roadway, struck a culvert and went airborne. That driver, a male from Rome, Georgia was injured in the mishap – and he was taken to a Rome-area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
The wreck took place on Alabama Highway 9 at 2:46pm, and the incident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
