Cherokee County Arrest Files for Saturday, February 24th, 2024

In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the past 24 hours:

JAMES JOHNS, age 64 of Leesburg – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Failure to Appear on previous charges – Financial Exploitation of the Elderly 1st Degree and Negotiating Worthless Negotiable Instruments; 

MATTHEW DAVIS, age 33 of Oxford was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police on charges of Failure to Appear;

JONATHAN STEWART, age 49 of Leesburg arrested by Leesburg Police on charges of Driving Under the Influence;

THOMAS MOTEN, 31 of Centre, arrested by the Centre Police Department on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, the Theft of Property 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest – and with the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

And

JERRAD KENT, age 27 from Hokes Bluff arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of Failure to Appear on previous charges of Theft of Property 4th Degree and an Insurance Violation.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Currently, there are a total of 91 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
