Ms. Ruth Campmire Garrett, born May 6, 1939 passed away peacefully in her home on February 19, 2024 at the age of 84, she was known for her special smile.
Funeral Services will be held 2PM Wednesday, February 21st at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Garrett Cemetery. The family will receive friend from 12PM until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include John Folk, Keith Jordan, Larry P. Maddox, Sid Garrett, Jay Folk, Billy M. Garrett, Mike Flynt, Nick McMichen, Keith Ollis and Johnny R. Walker.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Bill Knight.
She is survived by her husband, Tom, son, Steve and several nieces, nephews, friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Eunice Campmire, sisters, Juanita Bradley, Martha Pearce, Sarah Jordan, Peggy Gowens & brothers, Lamar Campmire & Jimmy Campmire.
She and Tom were married for 56 years.
She worked for Bellsouth for almost 40 years before retiring, upon retirement she kept books at Garrett Tractor and spent the remainder of her life serving in her home and on their family farm. She was a member of Centre FUMC and enjoyed listening to the sermons at home in her later years as her health declined. She was a loving wife and mother and will be dearly missed.
