Dozens of colleges and universities across the state and the southeast are waiving application fees during Alabama College Application Week, Feb. 19-23.
The Alabama State Department of Education set aside the week for the Alabama College Application Campaign program, which aims to increase the number of first-generation and low-income students who pursue post secondary education.
Through the campaign, 59 colleges and universities, including nearly a dozen throughout the Southeast, have agreed to participate in the program, waiving their fees for Alabama students during the five-day period.
Students may apply to Alabama community colleges for free at any time during the year.
You can find information on financial aid, FAFSA and other resources, plus a college application checklist on the Alabama Possible website.
