In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the Previous 24 Hours:

RUSSELL GIVENS – age 20 of Jacksonville – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Driving Under the Influence;

JULIA ROSS, age 37 of Valley Head, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and also Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

BRANDON KILGORE, age 37 of Heflin – was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

And

MARTY MCGUIRE, age 67 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Currently, there are a total of 86 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
