Alabama State Troopers Work Two Wrecks in Cherokee County

Alabama State Troopers responded to two accidents in Cherokee County, one on Saturday and one overnight, leading into Sunday.

That first took place just prior to 2:00pm Saturday, on Alabama Highway 68 and it involved two vehicles: a 2010 Ford being driven by a female out of Cedar Bluff – and a 2017 Chevrolet, being driven by a male from Rome, Georgia.  Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the wreck – and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.

At 1:40 Sunday morning one person was hurt in a single-vehicle wreck in Cherokee County.  The accident took place on U.S. Highway 278 and it involved a female from Southside, driving a 2012 Nissan.  She was hurt in that crash and she was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

No additional information is available at this time.
