Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver with an Important Message

It appears that criminal drug networks are currently flooding the United States with pills that are not only FAKE – but can be DEADLY as well.  According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver – a variety of “Criminal Networks” are mass-producing FAKE pills, and falsely marketing them as legitimate prescription pills in order to deceive the American public.

Counterfeit pills are (unfortunately) easy to purchase and they’re widely available and OFTEN contain fentanyl or methamphetamine, and CAN be deadly.

Remember, fake prescription pills are easily accessible and often sold on social media and e-commerce platforms – making them available to most anyone with a smart-phone, including minors.

Many counterfeit pills are made to look like prescription opioids, such as oxycodone (Oxycontin, Percocet) – hydrocodone (Vicodin) – alprazolam (Xanax) – or stimulants like amphetamines (Adderall).

District Attorney Summer Summerford, urges everyone to be fully aware of the danger, and risk of using these illegal drugs – “Remember, One Pill Can Kill!”
