Georgia Man Arrested in Alabama After High-Speed Chase Sunday Morning

A man is currently behind bars, after leading law enforcement officials in two states on a high-speed chase early Sunday morning.

According to information obtained by WEIS Radio – that pursuit initially began across the state line in Georgia and extended into Alabama toward Cedar Bluff, where the suspect was captured near the State Docks during the early morning hours.  Jeremy Robinson, age 41 of Rome, was booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center at 3:00am on charges of Attempting to Elude, as well as the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The chase involved both law enforcement officials from Georgia and also Cherokee County, Alabama before the pursuit came to an end.  Fortunately, no one was hurt in the chase.
