In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the Previous 24 Hours:

THOMAS ALLRED, age 33 from Summerville, Georgia was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of – Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts), and also Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (two counts);

BILLY HUNTER, age 62 of Centre – arrested by Centre Police on Failure to Appear charges of Obstruction (two counts);

CHELSEE MCMURTREY, age 27 of Centre, arrested by Centre Police on the charges of Failure to Appear – Expired Tag/Driving Suspended/and also an Insurance Violation;

REBECCA NORWOOD, age 56 of Piedmont – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Court Order;

MARION GRAVELY, age 49 of Cedar Bluff – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – on violations (three charges) of the Sex Offender Registration Notification Act (SORNA Violations);

JESSICA TRAYLOR, age 37 from Summerville, Georgia – was placed under arrest by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia charges;

And

TRISTEN WHITTEN, age 25 from Lincoln, arrested by the Leesburg Police Department, charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Currently, there are a total of 87 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
