In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the Past 24 Hours:

JUSTIN LUBBE, age 24 from Dallas, Georgia was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Trafficking of Controlled Substance (two counts), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – and also with Altering the Identification of a Firearm;

BECKY HUNT, age 42 of Anniston – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Failure to Appear;

JAMES BOYOUNG, 47 of Centre, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Non-Support;

And

THOMAS SALMON, age 32 from Cedar Bluff was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and with Failure to Appear on three prior counts of the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, and also with one prior count of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Currently, there are a total of 87 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
