One person was hurt in a two-vehicle accident taking place on Saturday – in neighboring DeKalb County.
According to an Alabama State Trooper accident report, the collision was at 5:53pm on U.S. Highway 411 – and it involved a 2013 Mercedes C-Class being driven by a male from Covington, Georgia and also a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica, being driven by a female resident of Valley Head. The driver of the Mercedes was reportedly uninjured; however the woman driving the Chrysler had to be taken to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, via ambulance afterwards.
No additional information was available regarding her condition.
According to the report, the driver of the Mercedes was reportedly being pursued by law enforcement officials when the accident occurred and he was taken into custody afterwards.
