Mrs. Jessie Ruth Pierce, age 80, of Leesburg, passed away Saturday, January 13th, 2024.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday, January 18th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Hunton and Bro. Trey Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Danny Alverson, Chase Pierce, Logan Pierce, Dustin Grace, Tony Fletcher, Jonathan Alverson and Johnny Wynn.
Survivors include sons, Dewayne Pierce (Yolanda), Tracy Pierce (Rhonda); daughter, Teresa Alverson (Danny); sister, Susie Wynn (Donnie); grandchildren, Jonathan Alverson (Sheila), Heather Alverson, Logan Pierce (Kaylee), Chase Pierce, Bryan Pierce, Dustin Grace (Anna); 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt E. Pierce; sister, Betty Green; brothers, Billy Fletcher, Ricky Fletcher, Buddy Fletcher and Sonny Fletcher.
Ms. Pierce was a native of Cherokee County; the daughter of the Willie Lee and Lola Fletcher, and was of the Southern Baptist faith.
