In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the Past 24 Hours:

BROOKS SHIREY, age 47 from Cedar Bluff was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of DUI/Alcohol;

JEREMY BLACKMON age 43 of Gaylesville – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on previous charges of Failure to Appear:  Expired Tag (Two Counts) and Failure to Appear:   Operating the Vehicle Without Insurance;

DAVID JOHNSON age 36 from Brierfield arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Failure to Appear on Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.

All arrests are based on probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

Currently, there are a total of 84 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
