Ms. Rachel Rebecca Wingard Cobb, age 102, of Centre, passed away December 23, 2023.

The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church 3600 Old Hwy 9; Cedar Bluff, AL on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 10 to 11 am with a memorial service to follow at 11am. Rev.Melvyn Salter, Pastor Will Etheridge, and Chaplain Ken Roberts will be officiating the service.

Ms. Cobb was the daughter of the Late William Commodore and Mary Alice Stone Wingard. She is survived by her sons; George William (Betty) Cobb and James Henry Cobb, grandchildren; George Clinton (Missy) Cobb and William Nathan (Angie) Cobb, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and her brother; Herbert Stone Wingard. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Washington Cobb, Jr.. She was a member of Cedar Bluff First United Methodist Church.

The family requests that memorials may be made in her honor to Cherokee Village Assisted Living Activities Fund 201 Dean Buttram Sr Ave; Centre, AL 35960 or to your favorite charity.
