A Trion, Georgia resident lost his life in a fatal fire, early last Wednesday morning and officials with the state are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
Trion firefighters responded to the scene Wednesday morning just after 4:30 and found the house engulfed in flames. Firefighters pulled two people from the fire, however, one was deceased, and the identity of the victim has yet to be released.
The call to Chattooga 9-1-1 was made by a woman at the residence – who said that she and her son were trapped inside the burning house. The State Fire Marshal had not released any statement about that fire, as of Friday.
