In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the Past 24 Hours:

STACEY CROY, age 50 of Gaylesville was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a SORNA (Sex Offender Registration & Notification Act) Violation and Domestic Violence 3rd Degree/Harassing Communications charges;

And

DERICK WILSON, age 45 of Heflin – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on the charge of Failure to Appear/Theft by Deception 1st Degree.

All arrests are based on probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

Currently, there are a total of 93 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
