Garden girls top Woodward Academy 70-53

EMERSON, Ga. – At the LakePoint Sports Complex in Emerson, Ga., on Saturday, Ace Austin delivered 30 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, a steal and a block to lead the Spring Garden Lady Panthers past Woodward Academy 70-53 on Saturday.

Libby Brown sank five 3-pointers and had 17 points for the Lady Panthers (17-1). Chloe Rule added 13 points and three boards.

Maggie Jarrett and Olivia Law both scored four points. Jarrett also added 10 boards, four assists and a block. Law also came away with seven rebounds, two assists and a block.

Spring Garden led at each of the quarter breaks. The Lady Panthers held a 25-17 advantage at the end of the first quarter and a 42-37 edge at halftime. Spring Garden extended its lead to 57-45 after three quarters.

Spring Garden hosts Jacksonville Christian in an area game on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
