A DeKalb County man has been charged with torture and willful abuse of a child although Sheriff Nick Welden has yet to release very many details following the arrest last Thursday night.  A 30 year old Sylvania man, Tracy Lee Ray, Jr., is currently being held in the DeKalb County Detention Center, and awaits a bond hearing.  He also faces a failure to appear charge.

Sheriff Welden hasn’t released any other details – “due to the sensitivity of this case.”  He went on to say that “Situations involving our children are so hard on everyone involved; I would like to thank our investigations, and DHR, for taking care of this quickly and for always making sure that children are a top priority.”
