2023 PROVED TO BE ONE OF THE BUSIEST YEARS EVER FOR THE CHEROKEE COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCIES
From Cherokee County EMA Director Shawn Rogers:
“As Director of Emergency Management for Cherokee County, I am proud of our public safety agencies and the amount of time and hard work they put into serving you. There’s a select group of individuals who do what they do without pay and with very little thanks. Those individuals are members of the Cherokee County Fire Service and the Cherokee County Rescue Squad. These fire and rescue professionals are dedicated volunteers who strive to provide the best fire and rescue services for the citizens, and visitors, of Cherokee County. They respond whether its day or night, rain or shine, to whatever the call may be. They don’t ask for any recognition and they don’t expect a pat on the back. They do it simply because they care for their community. For that, I am grateful! Cherokee County has some of the best first responders in the country. They are continuously training so they can better serve you. Whether it be a law enforcement issue, a medical emergency, a vehicle accident or a house fire, our dedicated men and women, in public safety, answer the call and do their best to make your worst moments a little bit better!”
