SAND ROCK – Gavin Lang tossed in 21 points and Zach Clanton came away with 16 points and five rebounds to lift the Collinsville Panthers to a 70-41 Class 2A, Area 12 basketball victory at Sand Rock on Friday.
Jake Middlebrooks finished with seven points and nine rebounds for the Panthers.
Ty Traffanstedt tallied 17 points and seven boards for the Wildcats. Cam Gifford posted 16 points and five rebounds.
Collinsville led 13-9 at the end of the first quarter, then went on a 21-8 run in the second quarter to take a 34-17 advantage at halftime. The Panthers held a 39-31 edge after three quarters.
Collinsville hosts Gaston on Tuesday while Sand Rock is at home against Cedar Bluff on Monday.
