Hit and Run Wreck in Cherokee County on New Year’s Day Under Investigation

Alabama State Troopers are still investigating a hit and run wreck that took place in Cherokee County on New Year’s Day.

Fortunately no one was injured BUT a Piedmont resident was reportedly shaken up after being involved in that “Hit & Run” incident that occurred at around 1:00am Monday.  According to the Alabama State Troopers report – that mishap took place on County Road 166, when the Chevrolet driven by the victim was struck, by a vehicle being driven by a woman – and the other driver immediately fled the scene.   The victim did say they believed the other vehicle to also be a Chevrolet.

Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the matter.
