Summerville, Georgia Woman Arrested and Charged with DUI

A 24-year-old Summerville, Georgia woman was charged with DUI – after being told NOT to drive by Chattooga 9-1-1 dispatchers.

Deputies responded to a Maplewood Drive address – Saturday December 23rd, concerning a domestic situation.  As they were traveling towards that location – dispatchers told them that the woman in question had been involved in a domestic situation, during which she said she had been assaulted.  The woman told dispatchers that she was going to get in her vehicle and then follow an individual that had allegedly assaulted her.  The dispatcher advised her not to do so because the woman had already admitted to drinking.

Deputies quickly found that woman – who had stopped her vehicle in the roadway.  The woman told law enforcement she knew she shouldn’t have been driving.  She also said, the aggressor had dragged her out of a truck, and assaulted her – prior to her getting behind the wheel of her vehicle.  After being and treated by EMS – Jakyia Lajean Walker, was charged with DUI for alcohol and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
