Woman Arrested on Drug Charges in Northwest Georgia by Sheriff’s Office Deputies
A 50-year-old woman was arrested on drug charges following the recent traffic stop conducted by Sheriff’s Office Deputies, at a stop conducted on Highway 27 in Summerville. According to a report released this week, the deputies were sitting in the parking lot of Burger King at around 3:30am when they noticed a vehicle pull into the nearby car wash. Deputies believed that the car was being driven by a suspected drug dealer.
After the vehicle pulled onto Highway 27, the deputies followed and they performed a traffic stop on Rossville Boulevard. The car the woman was driving had a cancelled registration and belonged to someone else. The driver told deputies she was coming back from Rome – but did not know that deputies had seen her earlier at the car wash parking lot.
After consent to search the vehicle was given – deputies found suspected methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia. Dawn Marie Trammell was arrested and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug-related objects and traffic violations.
