Northwest Georgia Firefighter Dies in Weekend Accident
A Rome/Floyd County, Georgia Fire Department Corporal, was killed last Friday evening in a single vehicle wreck in Paulding County. According to Georgia State Patrol reports – Garrett Kent was killed in the wreck on Pine Shadows Drive after his Ford F-250 exited the roadway on a curve and struck a mailbox as well as a group of trees. The report said that Kent wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
