In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the past 24 hours:

DYLAN HELMS, age 24 of Leesburg, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, charged with Failure to Appear on the previous charge of Domestic Violence 3rd Degree;

REGINAL DOWDY age 46 of Cedar Bluff arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department – charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

AMANDA IVEY age 42 of Gaylesville was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – charged with Failure to Appear on the previous charges of Operating a Vehicle without Insurance/a Switched Tag/Driving While Cancelled;

JOSEPH LAW, age 34 of Piedmont – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – Hold for Another Agency;

TERRY HUGGINS, 34 of Centre – arrested by the Cherokee Arrest Sheriff’s Office – charged with Failure to Appear on the previous charges of having a Switched Tag/Having an Expired Tag/No Driver’s License;

MICHAEL WHISENANT age 34 from Gallant was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office charged with Driving under the Influence/Alcohol

And

BRANDON HENDERSON, age 28 of Centre, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department, he was charged with the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance.

All arrests are based on probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

Currently, there are a total of 90 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
