A large assortment of law enforcement vehicles – a great many from both far and wide – converged on Centre this week, to take part in specialized school resource officer training and classes for – with the very latest information on a wide-ranging number of topics and issues to both better serve the public, and also help keep our officers’ safe.
That’s Jordan Kelley, SRO Unit Supervisor/Lieutenant, with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and he additionally serves as an instructor for the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO).
We spoke with NASRO Instructor Katie Bonham-Sullivan, about how this important training helps law enforcement understand – and reach out to an array of subjects, and provide assistance in many different ways:
