VALLEY HEAD – Jake Middlebrooks posted 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Collinsville Panthers to third place in the Valley Head Christmas Tournament with a 51-35 victory over Asbury on Thursday.

Gavin Lang rang three treys and had nine points for the Panthers. He also grabbed five boards. Zach Clanton came away with eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and seven rebounds. Dawson Cothran finished with five points.

Landon Bethune sank three treys and led the Rams with 13 points. Jayven McCoy and Isaiah Black both finished with five points.

Collinsville led at each of the quarter breaks. The Panthers held an 11-8 advantage at the end of the first quarter and a 24-16 edge at halftime. Collinsville claimed a 38-29 lead after three quarters.
