VALLEY HEAD – The Collinsville Panthers fell by the final of 58-41 to Sardis in the Valley Head Christmas Tournament on Wednesday.

Dawson Cothran led the Panthers with 16 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Gavin Lang sank four treys and had 14 points. Jake Middlebrooks finished with seven points and six rebounds.

Eli Morton topped the Lions with 22 points. Conner Lowery contributed eight points. Carson Gillilan and Luke Martin both netted seven points. Kason Moore and Jacob Bozarth finished with six and five points respectively.

Sardis led 11-10 after one and 25-22 at the break before going on a 15-6 run in the third to take a 40-28 advantage. The Lions outscored Collinsville 18-13 in the fourth for the final.

In girls action, the Lady Panthers earned a 38-31 victory over Crossville, but final stats were not available as of this posting.
