Mr. Catherine Barnes, age 90 of Centre passed away Saturday, December 16th 2023.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, December 21st at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. George Cobb officiating, burial will follow in Howell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Eddie Elliott, Craig Elliott, Johnnie Elliott, Wayne Elliott, Ricky Elliott and Keith Latham.
Survivors include daughter, Deborah (Mike) Laney; grandchildren, Misty (Bill) Smith and Kasie (Nick) Hairrell; great-grandchildren, Briley Smith, Zane Hairrell and Knoxlee Hairrell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Barnes; brothers, J.W. Elliott, Jr. Elliott, Johnnie Elliott, Herman Elliott and Ross Elliott; sisters, Mary Meers, Casey Gilley, Louise Gregory and Dorothy Latham.
Mrs. Barnes was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late James “Ed” and Minnie Edith Elliott and was of the Baptist Faith.
