REVISED
Mr. J.W. Lockridge, Jr. age 94, of Centre, passed away Tuesday, December 12th, 2023 at his residence.
Funeral service will be 11:00am Saturday, December 16th at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Pollard officiating. Mr. Lockridge will be lying in state 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday, December 15th at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Taylor Tindall, Alexander Allen, Bryant Allen, Joseph Lockridge, Dawson Taylor, and James Curley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayne Early, Dan Hancock, Jerry Hancock, John Smith, and Joel Coker.
Survivors include sons, Jay (Kemberly) Lockridge and Jon (Beth) Lockridge; daughter, Joy (Paul) Allen; grandchildren, Iris (James) Lockridge, Destiny (Dawson) Taylor, Taylor (Hannah) Tindall, Alexander Allen, Bryant Allen, and Joseph Lockridge – and great-grandchildren, Benjamin Tindall and Juliette Tindall.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Jo Lockridge.
Mr. Lockridge was a native of Cherokee County, also the son of the Late Joe Watt and Lois Keasler Lockridge, and he attended Pine Grove Baptist Church.
