Gaylesville boys rally past Jacksonville Christian; Lady Trojans also win

GAYLESVILLE – Kyler Bradley collected 25 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, to go along with 10 rebounds, seven steals and four assists as the Gaylesville Trojans held on for a 57-56 area basketball win over visiting Jacksonville Christian on Thursday evening,

Daylen Dobbins delivered 12 points, five rebounds and a steal. Kuper Bradley contributed nine points with a pair of treys, six assists, five rebounds and two steals. Collin Hendon finished with seven points, seven rebounds, five steals and three assists.

Jesse Gannaway topped the Thunder with 24 points. Travis Barnhill added 17 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Noah Lee finished with nine points.

The Thunder led 15-12 after a quarter and built a 35-22 at halftime. Gaylesville rallied to take a 43-41 lead at the end of the third quarter and held on down the stretch for the final.

In girls action, Gracie Dawson scored 25 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, in leading the Lady Trojans to a 41-34 victory.

Dawson also delivered six steals, four rebounds and an assist for the Lady Trojans. Emma Givens and Lydia Reynolds both added six points for the Lady Trojans. Givens grabbed 20 boards to go along with four assists and four steals. Reynolds also collected seven rebounds, five assists and four steals.

Addy Lee led Jacksonville Christian with 19 points. Katie Beth Hudson finished with six points.

The Thunder led 8-6 at the end of the first quarter, but Gaylesvillle took a 17-12 advantage into halftime. The Lady Trojans led 31-24 at the end of the third quarter.
