In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the Previous 24 Hours:

WALTER WOODY, age 78 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police – charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

WALLACE DIXON, age 71 of Cedar Bluff – was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police – charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

TRAVIOUS HOOD – age 47 from Cedar Bluff – was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police for THE FAILURE TO APPEAR on the previous charges of Domestic Violence 3rd Degree (two counts), Harassing Communications – and with Harassment and Rendering a False Alarm – that, in addition to, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

WILLIAM STEED, age 32 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for a:  SORNA/Sex Offender Registration Notification Act – violation;

CHRISTIAN MILLER, age 23 of Metering, LA was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

AND

JUSTIN THOMPSON, age 33 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Arrests are based on probable cause – and, all subjects are considered to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently there are 100 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
