Alabama Man Arrested in Chattooga County, Georgia

A 20-year-old Decatur, Alabama man was arrested in Chattooga County last weekend, after being caught both speeding, and driving, in an erratic manner.  According to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office an Atrium Health Floyd ambulance driver called Chattooga 9-1-1 prior to 2:00am Saturday – to report two vehicles that were speeding and driving recklessly on Highway 27 near the Floyd County line. 

Deputies were able to get one of the vehicles stopped and spoke with the driver, identified as Ethan Wade Bates.  Deputies discovered that Bates’ license was suspended in Alabama.   Bates was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license, and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
