Woman Locks Herself in Krystal’s to Avoid Arrest

A 42-year-old resident of Rome, Georgia – who was accused of stealing a financial transaction card at a restaurant that is located on Martha Berry Highway barricaded herself inside Krystal Restaurant located on Turner McCall Boulevard last week.

Police Officers were attempting to serve a warrant on the woman named Camecka Shunta Snelling, Thursday, when she refused to open the doors of the restaurant for them.  Officers did gain entry into the restaurant; she then barricaded herself in the restaurant’s office by locking the door; officers retrieved the key, and she allegedly held the door knob in such a way to prevent that key – from working.

Snelling is accused of stealing a card at the Cookout Restaurant in August of this year – then making a $11.27 purchase with that card at a cosmetic store on Broad Street.  She was taken into custody and charged with theft by taking, also failure to appear and obstruction of law enforcement officers.
