The Cherokee County Commission gathered on Monday morning – with a rather lengthy agenda to work with.

That included an announcement that the appointment/reappointment of three – four year positions on the Cherokee County Public Library Board, will be made during the Monday meeting, held January 22nd of 2024 and submittal of resumes and letters, will be until close of business – January 17th;

The Commission appointed Sabre Lindsey, to the Cherokee County Parks & Recreation Board to fill a six year unexpired term, ending in January of 2027 and Lou Honaker was appointed to the Coosa Valley Youth Services Board in order to fill a three-year unexpired term ending in the month of September, 2024.

The Board approved, in regard to insurance coverage, Liability Coverage Renewal for First Fund Year 2024 with the ACCA (that, in the amount of – $162,435.02) and approved Property Program Coverage Renewal for the year 2024 (in the amount of $165,361.59) as well.
