Investigation Continues into Death of Two in Cedar Bluff Earlier in the Month

Both the Cedar Bluff Police and Fire Departments with Atrium Floyd EMS responded to a residence on Railroad Avenue around 10:00am Sunday – December 3rd – according to Police Chief Jeremy Stepps, two individuals were discovered inside, both non responsive and not breathing.

Those two subjects were later identified as 25-year old Reagan Mychelle Johnson of Gaylesville and also 28-year old Darren Isaiah Higgins.

The cause of death has not yet been released and the case remains under investigation.  No further information is available at this time.

Cherokee County Coroner Paul McDonald was called in to assist with that investigation – and he told WEIS Radio News the Alabama Department of Forensic Science is providing assistance.
