Some Pre-Christmas Snowflakes POSSIBLE in North Alabama this Weekend

Parts of Alabama maybe, just maybe – could get a chance to see a few pre-Christmas snowflakes this weekend.

That’s according to the National Weather Service – but it’s by no means a sure thing, however, and if it does happen it would mainly affect those in parts of north Alabama; and forecasters have said the three-word phrase many don’t want to hear when it does come to snowfall: No accumulation expected.

That same storm system which COULD bring strong to severe storms to Alabama starting today (Saturday) – will also usher in some much colder air, and it COULD be cold enough to squeeze out just a few snowflakes as the system departs to the east.  Again, that’s IF the timing is right.  Also, the weather service in Huntsville is saying that a cold front should sweep across the state from west to east late Saturday night and on into Sunday morning.
