SNEAD – Jake Middlebrooks posted 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Gavin Lang sank six 3-pointers and finished with 18 points, but they weren’t enough to lead the Collinsville Panthers past DAR in the Marshall-DeKalb Showdown at Snead State Community College on Saturday. DAR came away with an 85-55 boys basketball win.
Mason McAteer managed 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, for the Panthers. Zach Clanton finished with five points.
Trey Rolf led DAR with 24 points, including five treys. Payton Eggles added 19 points, including three 3-pointers. Reid Lamley and Desmond Nichols both finished with 13 points.
DAR led 18-13 at the end of the first quarter and 42-27 at halftime. They built a 67-45 advantage after three quarters.
