Mr. Ronald Ray King, age 73 of Centre, passed away Tues. December 5th, 2023.
A funeral service will be held 2PM Thursday, December 7th 2023 at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shane Pate officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include Neal Starr, Jim Brittain, Brandon Russell, Chris Pope, Nick Mobley, Dewayne Hughes, and Donnie Weaver.
Survivors include his wife, Connie King; son, Chris (Jenna) King; daughters, Thrisa (Jim) Brittain and Brandi (Paul) Stouder; sister, Linda (Doug) Phillips; grandchildren, Kopeland King, Isabella Brittain, Sadie Brittain, Brandon Stouder, Ryan Stouder, and Delaney Stouder; 2 Great grandchildren also remain.
Ronald was a native of Centre and the son of the late Henry Hugh King and Gladys Weaver King. He worked as a general operator for Temple Inland and was also known to the community as the “watermelon man” on Highway 411. He enjoyed cutting firewood, fishing, and gardening. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
